Kadence – Adding Your Logo and Favicon (Best Practices)
Change Your Logo Image
- From your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Customize.
- In the Customizer, click Header > Logo. This will open the site identity settings.
- Tip: You can also hover the logo in the preview and click the pencil icon to jump into the logo settings.
- Under Logo Layout, make sure "Logo" is selected.
- Click Change Logo or Upload Logo
- Once you've selected your logo, crop your image to remove any extra space
- Once inserted, adjust the logo size until it looks good across devices by clicking the desktop, tablet, and mobile icons.
If your logo image isn’t changing after you upload it:
Go to your WordPress dashboard and open Media > Library. Locate the demo logo images (there are usually two right next to each other) and permanently delete them from your Media Library. Clear your browser cache and then refresh the page or customizer.
Use a Text-Only Logo
If you don’t want to upload a logo image and prefer to use text instead:
- Click the Remove Logo button if there is a logo image.
- Under Logo Layout, select Logo + Title
- Make sure you have added the title of your site under Title
- Click the Design tab to customize the font style, size, and color for your site title
Change Your Sticky Header Logo on Scroll
If you're using the sticky header option. This is completely optional – just a fun little trick.
